  • Three steps to dehumidify
    Aug 04, 2025
When it rains continuously, vehicles entering the underground garage will bring in rainwater, causing water accumulation and slippery ground, which poses a safety hazard. Secondly, the temperature in the underground space is low. When the high-humidity air from outside enters and condenses upon cooling, water droplets will form on the surface of the walls and floors. Finally, underground garages are often closed, lacking ventilation. The exhaust devices are either not activated or damaged, making it difficult for moisture to be discharged. However, although the interior is damp, there is also a customized solution for it. Software processing:  Cleaning + drying cycle: At the beginning of each shift, when using the floor scrubber, turn on the cleaning and water absorption functions and repeat the cleaning process multiple times. One round of circling can absorb water stains on the surface, effectively preventing slipping. Ventilation + air drying: Install large exhaust fans/industrial fans, check the exhaust fans/fresh air system every day, and keep them on 24 hours a day when it is humid to enhance air convection, raise the ground temperature and reduce condensation. Try to open the civil air defense door or other door openings as much as possible to utilize natural convection to assist in drying. Precise dehumidification: Configure industrial dehumidifiers/large air dehumidifiers, and select the model according to the daily dehumidification capacity (set the target humidity at 40-60% RH). It operates at a fixed point for 24 hours and controls humidity in real time. Hardware processing: Waterproof/mold-proof treatment: Before wall and floor construction, a moisture-proof layer and waterproofing process should be carried out, and the base layer should be treated with waterproof mortar or materials. Regularly check for mold spots. Once mold spots are found, clean them up promptly and apply waterproof paint. Improve the drainage system: Ensure that the entrances and exits are designed with elevated or water-guiding slopes to prevent rainwater from flowing back in. Regularly inspect and clean the drainage ditches, pipes and drainage pumps to keep them unobstructed. When the ground is slippery, warning signs should be set up to remind drivers to slow down when passing.
